The Georgia World Congress Center Authority (GWCCA) is the largest combined convention, sports, and entertainment campus in North America. Located in the heart of downtown Atlanta, GWCCA’s Championship Campus features over 200 acres of prime event space and includes the world’s largest LEED certified convention center, the Georgia World Congress Center (GWCC), Centennial Olympic Park, a 22-acre greenspace serving as the lasting legacy of the 1996 Summer Olympic Games, and state-of-the-art Mercedes-Benz Stadium, home to the Atlanta Falcons, Atlanta United, and many of the country’s finest events. Together with world-class attractions surrounding the campus and approximately 10,000 hotel rooms within walking distance, GWCCA is honored to be regarded as a leader in destination events.
The Authority also manages the 330,000-square-foot Savannah Convention Center.
Since 2010, GWCCA has invested over $360M to create a Championship Campus focused on improving connectivity between its facilites and the surrounding entertainment district. Highlights include a $55M GWCC expansion project, two new parking facilities increasing capacity to 7,500+ spaces, and a pedestrian gateway project creating a seamless guest experience from the surrounding hospitality district through Centennial Olympic Park to the front door of the convention center, stadium, and soon, Signia Hilton.
